My son is always taking pictures of all the different birds and flowers we run across, while on a trip or simply outdoors. Once we come back inside, he always wants to research and learn more about it.   That’s where the recent addition of the Lifetime Membership from has come in - Lifetime Membership Review

What is was started by Debra L. Reed, who is also a homeschooling mother of 10. She felt that her children weren’t retaining a lot of what they learned and there had to be a way to make it more fun and interesting. That’s when she created With this, kids have more freedom and the opportunity to be creative. They also seem to remember more of the information when they use notebooking as well.notebookingpages2

At, there isn’t just a few topics to pick from. Debra has created an amazing array of pages for all kinds of subjects that you will encounter throughout your homeschooling years. What do you get with the Lifetime Membership at
My question here would be what do you not get. Seriously, as I mentioned there are not only tons of categories, but Debra has also created an “Easy Start Guide” that was very helpful for us since this was our first time notebooking. This took us step-by-step through how to begin notebooking effectively, and made the process of notebooking much easier. I was seriously a little overwhelmed at first when I opened it to find all the options. I had no idea where to start.

Along with all the helpful videos, you’ll also find the Membership Downloads. This is where the HUGE collection of page collections can be found. Here’s the categories you’ll find here:

• Any Study
• A-Z
• Bible and Character Study
• Famous People
• Fine Arts
• Geography
• History
• Holidays
• Language Arts
• Science/Nature

But that’s not all. You also have a “Bonus Section”. This is included with your Lifetime Membership. This is where a few pretty awesome Sponsors have donated Bonus e-Gift bundles worth over $100.

Our thoughts:
I admit that I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect at first.  We have homeschooled for four years and this is the first time we have given notebooking a try.  The beauty of it all is there is no right or wrong way to do this. The student has the option to draw, write or to do both.  Since my little guy isn’t big on drawing, we chose to print the pictures of the different plants he finds and attach them to his notebooking pages.  From there, he makes quick notes on each find.  If it’s a flower, he writes down the Latin name, the English name, where he found it and things of that nature.  We also have printed out blank templates to keep in the notebook as well.  It’s such a great reference and he continues to add to it almost daily.notebooking9

Once out school starts back up, we will also be using to go with our History. My first grader will be studying Ancient History and my fourth grader will be doing Modern History. There are wonderful notebooking pages available that go hand in hand with our studies. Not only is this something wonderful they can look back on for years to come, but it’s also adds to the learning. So stay tuned for that!

Still not sure if notebooking is right for your family? No worries at all. also offers a 600 pages of free resources along with their tutorials.notebooking2
