Soft, gentle watercolor paintings are the perfect complement to a book about feelings in Today I feel… In addition to being a book of feelings, Today I Feel is also an alphabet book, reinforcing the letter names and shapes offering vocabulary enrichment.

Beautifull illustrated by Madalena Moniz’s subtle watercolors, Today I Feel follows a child through a whole range of emotions, from adored to curious to strong. Not all of the emotions are positive and not all of them are simple, but they are all honest and worthy of discussion with a young child.  In today’s world where children spend more time with devices rather than socializing, this book offers a context in which parents and children can talk about emotions, event the not-so-pleasant ones, such as grumpiness and jealousy.

My Thoughts:
Today I Feel…is a beautifully book that filled with watercolor illustrations. I set down to read this with my six-year old and while he already knows his letters, he loved reading the different feelings and very much enjoyed the pictures that accompanied them. This is such a wonderful way to not only teach children their abc’s and letter recognition, but it also helps them to understand the different feelings.

Today I Feel can be found at your local book retailer or online at stores like Amazon.
