The Giant Jumperee is an original story with a wonderful folk-tale-like quality from two giants in the children’s literature world, Julia Donaldson and Helen Oxenbury.

Rabbit arrives home one day to hear a strange voice coming from inside his burrow. I’m THE GIANT JUMPEREE and I’m scary as can be!!” shouts the stranger.  Alarmed, Rabbit runs off to find his neighbor Cat to get rid of the unwelcome guest.  But when Cat approaches the burrow, the Jumperee scares her off too.  Soon, the whole neighborhood has tried to help, but Rabbit, Cat, Bear, and Elephant are no match for the Giant Jumperee.  When Mama Frog arrives, though, she knows just what to do – and the animals are in for a big surprise.
