Synopsis:

About the Author:
Alexandra Boiger grew up in Munich, Germany as the youngest of seven children. It was a busy home with many stories, as one might imagine. After studying Graphic Design at the Fachhochschule Augsburg, Alexandra started to work in Feature Animation at Warner Brothers and Dreamworks. Her lifelong dream to become a children’s book illustrator and storyteller lead her to illustrate her first title: While Mama Had a Quick Little Chat, which became an award-winning picture book. In addition she has illustrated many more picture and chapter books. Now, ten years later, Max and Marla is her debut title as both author and illustrator. Alexandra lives in Northern California with her husband and daughter.
Our Thoughts:
This is such a delightful book for children. It’s such a well written story and the illustrations are absolutely adorable. It delivers such a positive message on not only friendship, but perseverance and teamwork.
