My little guy loves flap books and recently we received the book, All My Treasure: A Book of Joy. This beautiful book written by Jo Witek and illustrated by Christine Roussey has been a delightful addition to our home library.
Synopsis:
When a girl receives a beautiful porcelain box from her grandmother, she immediately wants something special to put inside it. But what could it be? What does she love best? She loves jumping in puddles on rainy days, blowing bubbles in the park, and watching her little sister’s first steps. As it turns out, life’s most precious treasures cannot be contained in a box! With a gentle message about the immateriality of happiness, this story reminds us to take pleasure in everyday moments. The book is beautifully packaged with a sparkly die-cut star on the cover, and flaps throughout reveal hidden surprises.
Our Thoughts:
My five-year old has always been a fan of flip books. At least once a day we pull a flip book from our collection and read it. They are wonderful for exploring and learning. In All My Treasures, you child is greeted with an inviting bigger font which makes it an easy read. The illustrations are simple, yet beautiful and have proven to keep my little guys attention time and time again.
All My Treasures: A Book Of Joy is currently available at local retailers or online at stores like Amazon.
