Summer is here and for homeschoolers it’s time to start looking for next year’s curriculum. I love looking at all the different curriculum that is available, but at times can be overwhelmed or simply get frustrated when I can’t seem to find exactly what I want.
Thanks to Masterbooks, we had the opportunity to review the Answer for Kids Bible Curriculum and I have been very pleased so far. The age recommendation for this particular curriculum is ages 7-11, but my four-year old enjoys it as well. He can’t read yet, but he does listen and contributes to the discussions. I really feel like they are learning so much more with Answer for Kids Bible Curriculum than they did using our last year’s curriculum choice.
The Answers for Kids Bible Curriculum combines three popular illustrated “kits” (Beginnings, Seven C’s of History, and Questions” into an all-in-one 30-lesson course designed to greatly strengthen the biblical foundations of children. We are on the first C of the Seven which is Creation. The first week we took one day at a time focusing on what God created for that day. We start by just talking about what the lesson is going to be about then read short verses in the Bible. The teacher part of this book even has questions that you can ask the kids as well as discussion suggestions.
There are 30 hand-outs in the back. The pages are perforated for easy removal. I removed them from the main book, slid them in protect sleeves and put them in a notebook. That’s the kids book where they can read and do activities from.
Perfect for Sunday school, homeschool, Bible clubs, Christian school, or family devotions, this dynamic curriculum gives children a solid understanding of biblical history and help them to boldly share and defend the truth of the gospel.

Each lesson can be done in 5 different days and are broken down into sections. At the end of the 5th lesson, there is a review and prayer section. The other sections are:

Answers for Kids Bible Curriculum is one of the best I have looked at. Depending on the resources and extension activities, you can make this more advanced. Since we are just lightly going through it, I haven’t added the additional resources or activities yet. Once our school year kicks back in we will be adding more depending on the child. The way it’s currently written is perfect for my four-year old, but my rising 3rd graded will benefit with the additional sections.
