Awesome Science: Explore Glacier National Park & Explore Rocky Mountain National Park with Noah Justice

Recently I was accepted into the awesome Moms of Masterbooks and to kick it off we have had the opportunity to review two amazing DVDs.  Awesome Science Explore Glacier National Park with Noah Justice and Explore Rocky Mountain National Park with Noah Justice.

Explore Glacier National Park DVD was actually one of my favorites.  In this dvd, Noah travels to Montana
to explore the amazing sites and geology at Glacier National Park. He’ll research evidence for this area being created and eroded quickly by the effects of the Flood.   In this DVD, you’ll discover how

• Evidence of erosion and mass wasting of the Rockies shows their recent formation
• The Flood provided just the right mechanisms for an ice Age
• The Bible provides the best answers for the massive worldwide extinctions just several thousand years ago.

The Explore Rocky Mountain National Park was the one that boys favored the most.  In this dvd, Noah travels to the Rocky Mountains to explore how they were formed and eroded by the catastrophic tectonics of the Flood.  He’ll research evidence for this area being created and eroded quickly by the effects of the Flood.  In this DVD you’ll discover how:

• Evidence of erosion and mass wasting of the Rockies shows their recent formation
• The Flood provided just the right mechanisms for an Ice Age
• The Bible provides the best answers for the massive worldwide extinctions just several thousand years ago.

Our Thoughts:
As a homeschooling mom I am always looking for ways to make learning fun and interesting. My six year old gets very bored if we keep with just traditional type work and these DVDs were a great addition.  I thought he would be a little young for this series at first but was surprised at how it kept his attention.  Noah Justice does an awesome job and my boys stayed tuned into everything he was saying.  We even had to pause the DVD in order to look up the verses in the Bible that it was referring too.  I can see me using this DVD for many more years and I really feel that as my six year old gets older he is going to be taking more away from them after viewing.

These DVDs also gave him the opportunity to see places that he has never visited before and that was excited for them as well.  After viewing these DVDs he has added a few places that he would like to visit one day which is perfectly fine with us.  Both of these DVDs were filled with tons of facts and even I enjoyed watching them.
