Canning season has finally arrived and it’s been pretty busy around here. I’m always amazed at how everything..and I mean EVERYTHING starts all coming in at the same time and then seems to stop producing at the same time. This leaves us canning, freezing and enjoying veggies for a few weeks. Of course I’m always a little sad when the plants stop producing. It’s hard to beat fresh from the garden vegetables.
It’s also time for Ball’s fifth annual Can-It-Forward Day! I participated in this event for the first time last year and really enjoyed it! I’m very much looking forward to this years even which is tomorrow, August 1 from 11AM – 4PM. It’s an amazing online broadcast that you can view right here on MY site or you can head over to FreshPreserving.com to watch. This awesome online broadcast will be at the new state-of-the-art Jarden Home Brands headquarters in Fisher, Indiana.
Can-It-Forward is an amazing even celebrating the joys of fresh preserving and encourages gardeners and food enthusiasts across the country to celebrate what “Made From Here” means to them by fresh preserving their favorite local ingredients in peak season.
