We are almost in June! You know what that means! Father’s Day is just around the corner. This year it falls on Sunday, June 16th. I like to be prepared rather than wait until the last minute. Stores are always overcrowded the day before any gift-giving holiday!
I had the opportunity to review Because I’m Your Dad by Ahmet Zappa. I remember the Zappa name from growing up associated with music and interesting sibling names so I was honestly intrigued to review this book. Another thing that excited me was it features monsters – which are very HOT right now!
About the book:

My Thoughts:
I loved this book! What a great book for Dads to read to their children. First off the parenting style of Zappa flows on the pages and very much matches my own philosophy. I love that he says he won’t miss any sporting events and that it is okay to miss school to do something special with Dad. You can feel the love for his child literally jumping off the pages! My kids are so fortunate to have a Daddy that is exactly like the one in this book! What makes this book so incredibly special is the last page where he explains why he would do all these things ~ because his Dad did it for him. What a wonderful legacy from Zappa’s own father!
