Science is one of our favorite homeschool subjects. Getting to do experiments at home is every little boy’s dream! As a Christian Mom I am always on the look out for a program that affirms our Christian beliefs. Beyond the Science Lab is a awesome science experiment book for this purpose.

In this inspirational book of easy-to-do science experiments, Jason Lindsey, a.k.a. “Mr. Science” shows kids that God is the ultimate scientist. Each experiment is inspired by a Bible Passage and teaches kids about a particular scientific concept. Through the exploding film canister, the skewered balloon, the magnetic dollar and many other experiments, “Mr. Science” explains a scientific concept as well as a Bible Truth.
My Thoughts:
I love that this book is all about the experiments. Lindsey includes Bible principals and verses in a natural way to go along with each experiment. Most of the items needed are already things you will have on hand which is also very helpful. (Nothing worse than trying to do an experiment and realizing you are missing an essential part.) Included in the back of the book is a section of resources that includes helpful science links and questions a child might ask.

This was very fitting since here in NJ we are having a really bad day of extreme thunderstorms! Gave us an excellent opportunity to talk about WHO is in control of the weather!
