Book Review: Wait

To be able to view the world as a child is an amazing ability. As adults we sometimes need to reminded to “stop and smell the flowers”. Wait is a beautifully illustrated book that does just that…reminds us to stop and see the beauty around us.

About the book:

As a boy and his mother move quickly through the city, they’re drawn to different things. The boy sees a dog, a butterfly, and a hungry duck while his mother rushes them toward the departing train. It’s push and pull, but in the end, they both find something to stop for.

Most of us as parents can easily relate to this book.  Rushing only to have your little one wanting to take in the world around them.  It’s a great read for any littles, but recommended for ages 4-7.  Each page has only a couple of words, but the detailed illustrations make up for that.  When I read this to my four year old, we carefully examines every page.

Wait is currently available and has a SRP of $16.99 hardcover.

I love your book reviews! This looks like a wonderful book.

    1. It is such a cute book. It’s very simple, but I think it sends a good message.
