Our table garden is coming in like crazy and I seem to always be washing lettuce and other greens. To help when it comes to drying them I have been using the Brieftons Salad Spinner and it works fantastic!
This product has been a time saver when it comes to washing all the garden greens and prepping my salads for the week. Not only is it a time saver for me, but it gets my kids in the kitchen which I love. It’s so simple to use my four year old volunteers to spin it while I’m chopping other veggies and I love spending time in the kitchen with my kids.
Arugula, spinach, frisee, endive, lettuce, romaine, cabbage, broad-leafed herbs, cress, etc can all be dried easily in this. Once it dries I then wipe out the external bowl and use it to make a large salad.

The ergonomic pump handle requires just a few pushes to reach its smooth and ultra quiet maximum spinning velocity. In the below video, you’ll notice that my four year old keeps pushing the handle down. That isn’t required at all. I usually do about three good pushes to get it spinning and let it go for a second..stop it and then do it again. It’s amazing the water the collects under the internal bowl. Sometimes I even have to dump it out and dry again, but remember my lettuce is getting scrubbed like crazy from coming straight from the garden. With all the rain we have been experiencing, the lettuce gets pretty dirty.
