I don’t know about you, but I love breakfast foods. I seriously could eat breakfast at every meal, which is why at least once a week we do have breakfast for dinner. How can anyone refuse hot blueberry muffins, waffles covered in a deliciously warm maple syrup, bacon crisped to perfection, etc. I could go on and on when it comes to breakfast food.
Now being from the South, we have a varied breakfast. So when I was sent some wonderful products from Krusteaz I decided to whip up a delicious meal of chicken and waffles, but not just any style fried chicken would do. I dredged my chicken in Krusteaz pancake mix and then friend it. Talk about heavenly!
This entire meal took less than 30 minutes from start to finish and is perfect for those crazy evenings we can have at times.
Not only does Krusteaz pancake and waffle mix taste like homemade, their other products are equally delicious. They even have gluten-free products which are just as tasty! If you asked my boys what their favorite Krusteaz product is, they’ll say blueberry muffins immediately. I make them about every two weeks for them and they gobble them up.
Here’s how I did my chicken and waffles:

- Krusteaz Waffle Mix
- 1 lb. boneless/skinless thin sliced chicken breasts
- Krusteaz Pancake Mix
- Salt
- Pepper
- Prepare as directed on back of box.
- Rinse chicken off and pat dry.
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Prepare pancake mix to a thick consistency. Then soak the chicken in the pancake mix for around 10 minutes.
- Fry at 350 degrees for around 4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
