Where has this summer went? It seems like just yesterday it started and now I’m seeing all these back-to-school posts on my facebook feeds, instagram and even blogs. Even though some schools have already started back, that doesn’t mean that we still can’t have fun and enjoy the amazing summer weather!
Did you know that Coca-Cola and Walmart have come together to create effortless meals for us busy moms and dads this summer with awesome meal options such as their take n’ bake pizza, sandwiches and marketside rotisserie chicken meals?
Our family stays busy with activities during the warm months and I will say that Walmart has been a lifesaver for us. Hiking, camping, biking, cookouts, gardening and even 5K’s leave us with little time to meal prep or get thing together. Luckily with the Walmart just around the corner we can get things pulled together easier. My boys and husband are awesome for last minute ideas on having a hot dog roast or having friends over for an outdoor cookout! I can make a one-stop shop and leave with everything I need to make the perfect outing thanks to Walmart and Coca-Cola.
Yesterday we were out running errands all day long and the boys wanted to head outdoors for an evening of fun once we got home. With knowing that the evening would be spent outdoors we grabbed a pizza on the way home with a couple of sides and they loved it! It was quick, easy and they have enjoyed leftovers today. So not only did it give us family time together yesterday but more today with not having to worry about preparing lunch and then tackling lunch clean-up.
As you can see with the below pictures my seven year old doesn’t get too adventurous with toppings. We went simple yesterday which was fine with all of us. Every now and then, simple is best.
