With Thanksgiving around the corner, I have already started preparing our menu. I love having variety in our menu from year to year, but still stick to the family favorites as well. We all know that a Thanksgiving dinner isn’t complete without dessert, right? That’s where Collin Street Bakery comes in.
They seriously have you covered for any and all celebrations that may be going on in your life. They have five brick & mortar stores located in Texas, but also cater to those of us that aren’t so close by offering delicious desserts online. I have tried a couple of their desserts, with the most recent being their Apple Cinnamon Pecan Cake and have yet to be disappointed.
Apple Cinnamon Pecan Cake from Collin Street Bakery
This moist and delicious cake starts with chunks of apples from Washington State that are glaceed to bring out their essence. From there, they are sprinkled with cinnamon and folded into a honey batter and smothered with native Texas pecans. And just before each cake is popped in the oven, it is hand decorated with a generous topping of pecan halves and slivered almonds.
You can enjoy it as it or warm it a tad and add a little ice cream on the side. Without a doubt, this cake is a crowd-pleaser.
