Doesn’t everyone have that dessert that they absolutely love? One that you may only enjoy once or twice a year? We aren’t huge dessert people in our house and usually only enjoy one on special occasions. My dessert of choice is cheesecake. It’s my all time favorite and this year on Mother’s Day, I was super excited to have a HUGE slice of Collin Street Bakery’s Praline Pecan Cheesecake.

For those that aren’t familiar with Collin Street Bakery, it’s this amazing bakery located in Texas.  Actually it isn’t just located in Texas, but it’s a Texas tradition. They have been baking up The Deluxe Texas Fruitcake and Pecan Cake for over 100 years, and thank goodness they didn’t stop there! They have a variety of other baked goods such as cheesecake, cake, pies, cookies, etc.

So how did I get my hands on a Collins Bakery Cheesecake when they are located in Texas and I live in North Carolina? Well lucky for me and all the other people that have tasted and fell in love with their baked goods, they have a mail order portion on their business! That’s right..they will ship their tasty treats right to your door. Once it arrives, be sure to refrigerate.  

Here’s a picture of mine when it arrived. Sure it isn’t as beautiful as the top picture, but you have to consider that it was shipped and although it came cold packed, we were having some crazy hot weather.

The Praline Pecan Cheesecake is a combination Texas native pecans and the very best New York Style Cheesecake. They coat the pecans in sugar and syrup to produce a crunch praline-coated confection and then mix it into their velvety New York Style Cheesecake.

I admit that I have had my fair share of cheesecakes from all over, and the Collin Street Bakery is one of my favorites! You can check out their website to see the other varieties.
