I am very blessed to be able to be part of a great group called, Moms of Masterbooks and I love bringing different curriculum to your attention. With most of us wrapping up our homeschool for the summer, we are looking for next year’s curriculum. Recently I had the chance to review Creation:Thirteen 6-1 Comprehensive Curriculum Lessons and so far I’m liking what I see.
This book is designed for first to fourth graders with bonus activities that are also included for the older and younger students. This allows families to learn together which I love. Most of the time depending on the subject, my youngest sets in on the lesson. With this book through, it’s easier to him to understand and participate in everything. Along with the book, there are website links that help enhance and expand the scope of each Creation day lesson, while key Bible verses link creation-themed concepts to the imaginative and fun activities.
Creation has 13 integrated, fun-filled lessons! Each 10-page set of instructions include math, english, science, art, spelling, and physical activities.
The lessons are:

Lessons 1-12 begin with an introduction that discusses the Scriptural background, followed by an Object Lesson about the topic. At the end of these lessons is a “Character Connection” that relates a particular trait, such as Wisdom, Responsibility, and kindness, to the lessons and to life.
At the first of each lesson it gives you a materials needed list, which isn’t expensive or hard to find items and then lesson introduction as you can see below:
My boys seems to excel in Science and Math, but language is another thing. They can do it, but it’s like pulling teeth to get it done. Below is a sample of the English work you will find in Lesson 1. While there are a little too hard for my four year old, these are great for my rising 3rd grader.
All in all I’m looking forward to using this book as part of the curriculum with my boys. With the hands-on activities that are included throughout this curriculum as well as extra activities, I know without a doubt they are going to love it!
