Can you believe Halloween is just around the corner? I’m not sure where the time went, but just a few days ago it hit me that I had yet to get Halloween Costumes for the boys. While not a huge deal, we do have some fun Halloween activities coming up all week long.
Disguise LEGO Prestige Costume
With that being said, we were beyond excited when given the chance to review the LEGO Prestige Costumes from Disguise.com, especially since my boys are huge LEGO fans. For the review, we received the LEGO Prestige Ninjago Lloyd costume and the LEGO Prestige Nexo Knight Clay costume.
How well do the costumes fit?
This is such a big question when comes to ordering costumes. Some custume sizing is way off which is very frustrating. Our experience with the LEGO Prestige has been a great one. For us, they seem pretty true to size. My five-year old usually wears a size 6 in clothing and the 4-6 fits him perfectly. For my nine-year old I picked the 7-8 size which was me going by the size of his shorts, not his pants. While the fit is great, I should have went up to a 10-12. Recently when purchasing his winter jeans, it seems that overnight he shot up like a foot in a height and we had to go up to a size 10 jean. While a tad on the smaller size due to what I ordered, he says that it fits comfortable. The only place I can tell that it’s a tad small is in the length which is really not a big deal.
What about the quality of the product?
This is another big question when it comes to Halloween costumes. Some are made wonderful, while others seem like they might fall apart on the night of Halloween. The LEGO Prestige costumes from Prestige seem to be on the side of wonderful. My boys have not only tried these costumes to make sure they fit, but they have also been playing in them. Who wants to wait for Halloween to arrive, right? So far they have held up great.
The costumes are on the thicker side, so depending on where you live they may get a tad warm, but other than that we have no real complaints when it comes to the costume.
The mask has a velcro band that goes around to the back of head in order to keep it in place, and the child can see out of the eyes on the mask. So far, we haven’t had any trouble with the velcro not holding up.
