Summer has finally arrived and many schools are celebrating their last day. We homeschool and have been finished for a few weeks now, but are already adding in summer learning. Curious on why we add summer learning? Studies show that all young people experience learning losses when they don’t engage in educational activities over an extended break, such as summer. On average, the learning loss is equal to around two months and generally in math and science.
With a busy schedule, Brain Chase is a great alternative to summer learning. The first day kicks off on June 22, and requires 5 hours a week which isn’t bad at all. This program targets grades 2-8 and the five hours can be done anytime during the week. My oldest son is going into 3rd grade this coming school year and I have noticed just by looking at his curriculum, this is when it’s really going to take off. K-2 for the most part aren’t that bad, but our load the coming year has doubled and I want him to be prepared. I want to keep him excited about learning by making it fun and Brain Chase is a program that does.
There are two different package options to choose from. The regular pricing package is $199 for the first registration and then $100 for each sibling. The premium pricing package is $249 for the first registration and then $149 for each sibling. The premium package includes everything the regular package does plus the following:

- Brain Chase adventurer backpack
- Brain Chase 2015 t-shirt
- Sunstone of Cortes Patch
Not only is Brain Chase a great program for the kids, but they also offer a teacher referral reward program. Brain Chase is offering a $15 Staples gift card to teachers for each of their students they refer. Registrants who hear about Brain Chase from a teacher can simply enter that teacher’s name and school name at registration. The referral rewards can add up to substantial funding for classroom supplies and is a great opportunity to a class fundraiser through the PTA or other school organizations.
Hurry over and check out Brain Chase if you are researching summer educational programs for your kids. The adventure kicks off on June 22…don’t be late!
