I love starting my day off with daily devotionals. I take advantage of the early morning hours before the kids rise and shine to study. This is also a routine I have with my boys as well. While they each study the Bible on different levels because of their age, I love having them together for a short devotional in the mornings before we kick off our days.
For the past few weeks we have started our day with Jesus Today: Devotions For Kids. I really like that this is a hard cover and has a very clean look. I was immediately drawn to the cover, as was my five-year old. The lessons are very inviting for all ages and my boys look forward to us reading it together as a family.
I feel the devotional are written in a reassuring way so children see that He is in control. He will never lie to them and will always be there for them. The daily devotional is short and then on the next page, you have a few scriptures that relate. I have found that just reading the devotional opens up a wonderful discussion with my boys.
