Let’s face it fruits and vegetables are expensive. You can always find coupons on snacks and cleaning supplies but it is rare to find one for produce. One of the things that always gets me is you can buy a bunch of bananas or grapes and by the time you get to eating them they’ve gone bad. That drives me batty! I hate throwing away food. I have a strict budget this year of $100 or less a week to feed my family of 5 so I want every bite to count!
Clearly Fresh Bags
Clearly Fresh bags are a great way to help keep your produce fresh longer. They are simple to use because it is just a bag that you zip shut. I really liked that size of the bags which were big enough to fit a whole bunch of bananas in them.
How Do Clearly Fresh® Bags Work?
The technology behind Clearly Fresh® bags is our BreatheWay membrane. You’ll note that there is a hole in the film behind the BreatheWay logo on each zip bag. This is because BreatheWay acts as an Oxygen/Carbon Dioxide passageway – allowing just the right amount of oxygen in and much more carbon dioxide out. For more information on how and why BreatheWay is so effective visit www.breatheway.com.

My thoughts:
Clearly Fresh bags definitely extended the life of our bananas. I bet that they would be even better but someone in my house kept leaving the bag open! These bananas were bought on the 17th and put in the bag on the 18th. They were green when we started. They look pretty speckled in this picture but actually they are perfectly ripe. Not mushy at all!
You can purchase your own Clearly Fresh Bags online at ClearlyFreshbags.com. They come in a pack of 10 gallon sized for $3.99. Be sure to visit Clearly Fresh Bags on Facebook for additional information.
