If I told you I was rarely on Facebook I would be lying. Unfortunately, I spend more time on Facebook than I probably should roaming around various children’s clothing pages, yard sale pages, live auctions and so on. This is what I was doing when I stumbled upon Knifty Up-Knitz and I am so glad I did!
Knifty Up-Knitz
The owner of Knifty Up-Knitz is Bryndi who is a very sweet and giving person. She takes simple everyday children’s shirt and up-cycles them into one of a kind masterpieces for both boys and girls. She has a knack for matching up materials in ways I would have never imagined! I spent a good deal of time on her page looking at all of her completed work and each piece was uniquely different from the next just like her customers. It was at that point that I decided to contact her about a possible review for our readers. Almost instantly she responded with a big YES and was just as excited as I was.
Knifty Up-Knitz offers several styles from dresses to little boys shirts, short sleeve, long sleeve, tassel or no tassel and pant sets. The opportunity are truly endless. She has an album of ready to use shirts for customers to choose from and I believe she will also work with shirts you may want up-cycled if sent to her. Once you choose your shirt and design you simply take two measurements of your little one, armpit to armpit and shoulder to bottom hem. My advise here is to measure a little bigger to assure it will fit well with some room to grow.

For this review I chose an adorable little bunny shirt to up-cycle into a Happiness style dress. Bryndi stayed in contact the entire time from telling me turn around time, showing me the chosen material and letting me know when it was done as well as shipped. The dress arrived neatly packaged with a business card attached. It is evident that Bryndi takes great pride in her work and sewing is definitely her forte. It was well made and just absolutely beautiful! The minute it arrived I changed Caroline into it and she wore it to Jaydon’s fall festival at school. She definitely got lots of compliments. I did measure slightly on the small side so that is why I mentioned it earlier. Definitely nothing a little pair of leggings couldn’t fix though. Here is the completed dress and Caroline posing with her cousin:
Styles range in price from $35-$125 and shipping is a flat rate of $5. Definitely not bad prices for quality handmade items that are going to set your little ones apart from the rest. Bryndi has generously offered a $30 gift certificate towards any creation to one lucky reader. Enter the rafflecopter below for your chance to win.
