We strongly believe in growing your own food organically and we teach our children the skills to be able to do this as well one day. I feel that when children see how their foods are grown, they are more likely to try and enjoy more of a variety.  Liv on Life: Green Is Good (Liv on Life Series) is a great way to introduce your children to organic gardening.Liv on Life Green is Good
Green Is Good is a book about a little girl named Liv and her boxer dog “Bowie” that go visit a working organic farm for the first time. While there, Liv discovers that the best way to grow her favorite veggies is organically. This book is not only a fun read for the kids, but it also opens up a dialogue between young children and their parents on modern living, farming, healthy eating and organic foods.

What We Thought:

Green is Good is definitely a book worth checking out.  We grow our own organic garden and my four-year old still enjoyed reading this. We had to stop and talk about every page once we finished reading it.  The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, and it’s such a great way to teach them a little about organic gardening.

Green Is Good is the second book in the popular Liv on Life Series and is scheduled to hit the stores September 20th with an SRP of $14.99 (hardcover).
