Make Christmas Fun With Hasbro Games!

All my readers should know by now just how much we love all Hasbro products in our house.  From out teen daughters to our toddler son, Hasbro is a hit!  What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about the name Hasbro?  What comes to mind for me is the fantastic selection of board games that they have to offer.  I always try to get at least one board game for the kids during the holiday season.  It really is great family fun and my fourteen year old always asks to play board games.  It has gotten harder to play them since we now have a toddler in the house but they are still fun!

Hasbro recently sent me three games to review for this holiday season and they are tons of fun.  From adding a new look to the classic Monopoly to the Rebeks Cube, they are fun yet challenging!

I want to first start out talking about the SpongeBob Sorry game.  I remember as a child playing Sorry with my Grandmother.  Ofcourse she would always let me win, but those are memories that have stuck with me for years.  My daughter remember playing this with her Great Aunt and when we received the new Sorry to try, the memories started flooding back for her.  It’s great how something as simple as a game can bring back so many fun memories.

This year is the 10th anniversary of SpongeBob so to help celebrate, Hasbro had added a SpongeBob twist to a few of their games! By adding SpongeBob to this classic game they have really added excitment with the kids.  Even my two year old had to stay around to enjoy a game of this!  Ofcourse he doesn’t play it, but he likes to help me play it.  The bright colors and familiar characters are fantastic!  Sorry! SpongeBob edition is for ages 7 and up and is available at your favorite stores for around $19.99!

MONOPOLY CITY

My youngest daughter has always been a HUGE fan of Monopoly.  When she was very small, she even had the Monopoly Junior Edition!  She absolutely loved that game and as she got a little older we purchased the Monopoly Dot Com Edition. This was a fun game as well and we actually still play it from time to time.  Ahh, but as Monopoly changes, we continue to add to our collection.  Last year for Christmas, we purchased the Monopoly Electronic Banking Edition.  Now I absolutely LOVE this game.  It is so nice to not have to keep up with all the money.  This has been by far my favorite, not to mention less mess to clean up after the game ends!  I literally could keep going with the Monopoly as we even have the card game.  Now on to what my title says, Monopoly City.  This has quickly became my new “favorite” game.
In Monopoly City edition you can build houses or industrial complexes, schools, skyscrapers or stadiums. The choice is yours! This is so different from the classic monopoly.  Not only do get to build all these powerful structures but you have to watch you opponent as they can build a sewage plant right next to your price property and make your value plummet!

This game features 80 3-D buildings so you can develop your MONOPOLY property! This game is designed for ages 8 and up and can be found at many of your favorite retailers for approx. $34.99

RUBIK’S 360

Ok time to tell your age.  How many of my readers remember the Rubik’s Cube?  When I was younger I loved those things eventhough I have yet to be able to solve one!  How many of you took the colored stickers off and moved them to where you felt they should go.  I am not ashamed to admit that I did this as a kid :).  Well Rubuk’s Cute as brought us an entirely new game called Rubik’s 360.

This brand new challenge is honestly just as hard as the first and sadly I have yet to get this one.  I am determined to not give up though!  The point of this game is to get the colored balls into their proper location!

Both spheres have a weight opposite their holes.  These weights mean gravity ensures the holes will remain above the axis of rotation, and the balls will be below it.  By understanding how the axis of rotation of each sphere works you can overcome the force of gravity and invert the spheres to allow the balls to drop through the holes.

The Rubik’s 360 is perfect for ages 8 and up and can be purchased for $14.99.

This is solely the opinion of As They Grow Up. Other people may have different experiences with the product.Thank you to Hasbro for providing a product to test.
