I will be the first to admit that I look at all these awesome creations that they have on Pinterest and wish that I was just a tad creative. I am probably the worst craft person in the world which is bad because D loves doing crafts just like his sister always has. Recently we had the opportunity to check out the book Mason Jar Crafts for Kids and guess what? I could do them. They are perfect for beginner crafters (like myself) and for kids.
With Mother’s Day around the corner, we decided to do a gift for the Grandmother’s. The thumbprint sunflower jar was easy and fun. I love that it has their little finger prints making the flowers. It wasn’t time consuming and kept my four year old’s attention. I will say that D (my 8 year old) wasn’t too thrilled with sticking his fingers in the paint, but L was more than happy to do it. He was maybe a tad too excited to stick his fingers in it.
Mason Jar Crafts for Kids provides exactly what the title promises. This wonderfully creative book will keep kids and parents busy all year round with dozens of easy DYI project and activities. Projects are accompanied by photo tutorials and step-by-step instructions to make it easy to follow and are 100% kid-friendly. It has a variety of options for both beginning and advanced crafters from gifts, holidays and so much more! My eight year old already has his Memorial Day decorations picked out to make from this book!
Mason Jar Crafts for Kids is available in paperback (SRP $14.99) and digital ($9.99).
