MasterChef Junior is back for a 4th season, airing Nov. 6 at 8/7c on FOX and we’re excited! My boys love cooking with me and we fell in love with MasterChef Junior during the 2nd season. I love that it gives the best junior home cooks in America the chance to showcase their culinary abilities and passion for food through a series of delicious challenges. It helps to encourage kids that they can do anything they set their minds too.
Each episode, host and award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay is joined by acclaimed chef Graham Elliot and our newest judge Christina Tosi on the MasterChef Junior judging panel.

I always find it funny how kids will eat the things that they help make. For example…In the below picture, the boys were using one of the new MasterChef cooking kits to make potato cakes. My four-year old swears he doesn’t like potato anything. If he hears it has potatoes, then he won’t even eat it. Let the kid make his own potato cakes, and he eats them like crazy. For me, it’s the best way to get them to try new foods. I always tell them that if they don’t taste different foods, then how are they going to be a good cook. They have to know how different flavors and spices complement each other.
