Nerdy Birdy Review

Nerdy Birdy written by Aaron Reynolds is an adorable book for kids that my five-year-old loves. Nerdy Birdy

Nerdy Birdy

This cute little bird loves reading, video games, and reading about video games, which immediately disqualifies him for membership in the cool crowd. One thing is clear: being a nerdy birdy is a lonely lifestyle. When he’s at his lowest point, Nerdy Birdy meets a flock just like him. He has friends and discovers that there are far more nerdy birdies than cool birdies in the sky.

Our thoughts

My five-year-old and I have read this numerous times. It’s written with a sense of humor that has my little guy laughing.  It’s hard for anyone to find their place in society and while  was welcomed into the group with allother birdsbirds that were just like him, he quickly learned too that they were also a little judgmental when it came to who could join their group. In the end, Nerdy Birdy shows that it doesn’t matter if you are different, you should be true to yourself.
