About the Author: Mary Engelbreit
Mary Engelbreit grew up studying the illustrations in the vintage storybooks of her mother’s own childhood, and she developed a unique style that harkens back to those simpler times. Mary’s distinctive images have made her a celebrity to millions, who eagerly snap up gift items, calendars, books, fabrics, and more. Mary’s dearest wish has always been to illustrate for children. My Thoughts:
A Night of Great Joy is an adorable book that tells the story of the nativity through a children’s Christmas play. Reading this book puts a smile on my face and brings back all the memories from all the years that I’ve either been in or assisted in the Christmas plays. With children it’s always unpredictable what’s going to happen, but regardless in the end it’s perfect!
Filled with sweet illustrations, this book has been a wonderful addition to our Christmas book collection.
