How to decide when to have “the talk” with your children, and how is the best way to go about doing it? I don’t lie, I’m pretty sure I did an absolutely horrible job at the “talk” when it came to my girls. I couldn’t remember ever having someone talk to me about it, so I fumbled through it like I had no idea what in the world I was talking about. It’s just one of those subjects that seemed to taboo in my day, but not so anymore.
Recently we had the opportunity to check out an amazing product called, Passport2Purity and what I wouldn’t give to have had this when I stumbled and fumbled my way through the “birds and the bees” with my girls. This program is designed for moms to talk to daughters and fathers to sons. Llet me just say that way before we ever reviewed this product I had already decided that my husband was going to get the honor of the talk with our boys. I’m a little jealous now though, because he is going to have an amazing product that covers it all and helps take the pressure off us parents.
As I mentioned above, Passport2Purity is designed to be used by a mother and daughter or a father and son when your child is a preteen. It’s suggested that the materials be completed over a weekend away from home so that your child may be more open to discussing the topics away from their normal environment. We all know there are times when it isn’t easy to getaway and that’s alright as well. If you can’t take a get-away, then you can complete the material over a period of four to five weeks.
The Giveaway Kit includes:
* 1 Tour Guide for the parent
* 1 Travel Journal for the preteen
* 25 follow-up devotions
* 8 CD’s containing 5 sessions, scripture memory songs and downloadable MP3s
The Sessions are:
* Session 1: Beginning the Journey – Challenges, Traps, and Choices
* Session 2: Running with the Herd – Friendships and Peer Pressure
* Session 3: Ready for an Upgrade? – Changes to Him, Changes to Her
* Session 4: Destination: Le Pure – Setting Boundaries
* Session 5: Crossing the Date Line – Seeing Dating Differently
Here’s a quick video to tell you more about Passport2Purity:
And this is what to expect from the child’s book. A lot is fill in the blank, but it also has blank areas that they can use for writing.
This is a great program. Not only does it allow ease when having the talk with your kids it also gives them undivided attention, and in the end both of those are things they will cherish and remember always!
If you order now through August 31, you can use promo code PASSPORT and save 25% off the purchase price!
