Polar Bottles

Without the expense of sounding like a total water snob, if there is one thing I can do well it is drink water like there is no tomorrow.  I like my water with no frills; room temperature, no ice, no flavoring, etc. Water does amazing things for the body and it is no secret that it is amazingly good for you.  However, by the end of the day I have consumed so much that I feel like a walking water balloon.  Anyways, that is neither here nor there.  The point of this post is to tell you about a new favorite company I recently discovered.

Polar Bottles is a company that designs, manufactures and sells quality water bottles.  Although they are new to me, Polar Bottles has been in existence since 1994! Over the years they have modified their bottles to stay competitive in the global market as well as meet the needs of their consumers. They currently offer three types of bottles in varying sizes, the Sport, Ergo and ThermaLuxe. Each bottle is insulated and can hold both hot and cold liquids.  All bottles come with a convenient carrying handle and have removable valves for thorough cleaning.

Polar Bottles are BPA free and are manufactured right here in the Unites States, Boulder Colorado to be exact.  Each bottle is made from locally sourced products which helps reduce shipping costs and minimize environmental effects.  Unlike your typical single use plastic water bottles that are thrown away nearly three times as much, Polar Bottles can be reused over and over.  Thus, Polar Bottles are eco-friendly and sustainable for years to come.

Polar Bottles generously sent me a 24oz sport water bottle to try.  First and foremost, I was impressed with just how many options were available for this particular bottle.  There are all sorts of patterns and colors  to choose from in addition to their full line of World Teams which has recently been added. The World Team Soccer Qualifier bottles would be ideal for that special soccer fan in your life! The options for the Ergo was quite impressive as well! The bottle I received is a lovely blue and white color which I love.

The Sport features an insulating layer between two walls of plastic thus keeping liquid cold up to two times longer than other brands.  As I mentioned a bit ago, I prefer my water room temperature but had to put this claim to the test.  To really know how it worked, I put cold water in my Polar Bottle and let it sit at room temperature for several hours.  I was pleasantly surprised that when I checked the water was still very cool.  I look forward to really utilizing this feature in the summer.  Once my runs get longer and my coordination gets better (wishful thinking here), I will proudly be taking my new bottle with me to help keep me hydrated.

If you are looking for a practical gift that is extremely affordable, made in the USA, is eco-friendly and reusable, I highly recommend Polar Bottles.  In addition to some pretty sweet deals currently taking place on their site, Polar Bottles has generously offered our readers a discount on all World Team bottles.  For a limited time you can purchase a World Team bottle for 1/2 price with coupon code GIFTGUIDE.  This brings the total down to a mere $7.50!
