Ursula Vernon’s RATPUNZEL

We love, love, love Ursula Vernon books, and the most recent addition to the Hamster Princess collection, Ratpunzel, has been an absolute joy to read. So when I was asked why I would recommend this book, my reply was….

5 Reasons Why You Should Read Ratpunzel

1. Because Ursula Vernon is an amazing author and illustrator. Sounds cheesy, right? But seriously we are huge fans of her writing and pretty much have all of her book!

2. Ratpunzel is the third addition to the Hamster Princess Series and it just keeps getting better, if that’s even possible.  From the time we read the very first book in the Hamster Series we were hooked, and fell in love with little Harriet Hamsterbone.

3. Speaking of Harriet Hamsterbone..that little rodent has attitude and determination. She knows how to get the job done!

4. Because Ratpunzel is a wonderful book for all ages. It’s written in a way that keeps kids attention with the turn of every page.

5. Last but not least…It’s hard to beat the random, yet funny phrases such as “Hercules? Achilles? Conan The Veterinarian? They all knew the value of bungee cords. True story.”ratpunzel2

Princess Harriet Hamsterbone does not like sitting around at home. How’s a princess supposed to have any fun when her parents are constantly reminding her to be careful and act princessly? The thief’s trail leads them to a wicked witch and a tall tower, occupied by a rat whose tail has more to it than meets the eye!
