Play-Doh also has a new set called the Play-Doh Burger Builder  that has came out this month.  When Play-Doh asked me if I wanted to give it a try, I couldn’t say no.  My son loves to pretend like he is cooking, so what better way to help him express this!  Not only did he receive the Play-Doh Burger Builder, but also this adorable little backpack you see pictured here. The first day he received it, he played with it non-stop by putting his toys in it and taking them around the house in this car.  He still uses this great little backpack though.  This is perfect for taking his favorite toys with us when we are on the go.

As I am sure you can see in the below video, Davis loves playing with this.  I remember we tried Play-Doh with him when he was around 20 months and that didn’t go over very well.  He played at first and then felt he needed to taste it.  I wasn’t sure what the reaction would be when I introduced him to the burger builder.  Especially having what he makes look like food, but it was fantastic!  We made all sorts of things with the Play-Doh Burger Maker.  The chip maker is one of his favorites.  It is hard for him to hold it and twist it at the same time (he isn’t even 2 1/2 yet) but we have had no problems with him trying to eat what he makes, and on top of that the rest he can do by himself.  He refuses to let me help him very much when playing, which is fine.  His creations aren’t perfect.  Heck, sometimes it doesn’t even look like food, but they are perfect to him and that is all that matters!  My job is to simply “eat” the concoctions that he creates!

Play-Doh Burger Builder

The Play-Doh Burger Builder is geared for children ages 3 and up and has a suggested price of $15.99. This set comes with 5 containers of Play-Doh,  the burger maker “machine”.  The burger builder comes with 6 easy to snap on an off plates that will allow them to make the items they need for their burger (buns, pickles, pattie). Oh, but that isn’t all.  It also comes with plates and a knife of course as well as a potato chip maker and the little shape maker to assist in making the mustard and ketchup.

Play-Doh would not only make an excellent birthday gift for that special little someone but also a fantastic Christmas gift as well.  The Play-Doh Burger Builder can be purchased online as Hasbro, but can also be found at stores near you!

This is solely the opinion of As They Grow Up. Other people may have different experiences with the product.Thank you to Play-Doh for providing a product to test.
