Scared Panda isn’t your ordinary t-shirt company. Owners Clint and Kate wanted to create something that reflected their love of travel, t-shirts and giving. What resulted was a remarkable t-shirt company. Each shirt is inspired from a trip or a story and only 150 of each shirt are printed.
What really stuck with me from Scared Panda is that they are so giving. For 2011 they will be donating 10% of all sales to Growing Home. The also pledged to donate time as well. I really like knowing that a part of my purchase goes to something good.
What they say (from their website):
We started Scared Panda because we wanted to create something. We love to travel and learn about new cities and cultures and we love t-shirts so starting a t-shirt company that shares unique perspectives of different cities just made sense. Some of the best things we’ve discovered in life have been a result of changing the way we see things. Wayne Dyer said, “When you change the way you see things, the things you see change.” To us, that’s what life is all about, changing, learning, discovering. We hope, with these t-shirts, to spread a little bit of that around.
There are currently three kid’s designs:
DJ Panda – Kid’s
Pandas can’t DJ! Or so you thought. This t-shirt is a tribute to all of the amazing DJs around the world. Thanks for making our booties shake. Keep on spinnin’.
Scared Panda – Kid’s
Everyone loves a panda – especially a Scared Panda. Go ahead. Try to look at our little Scared Panda without smiling.
Free Ridin’ Panda – Kid’s
Cities and scooters go together perfectly – like Forest & Jenny and traffic ‘n weather. They’re small, agile and they allow you to weave in and out of traffic with a face into the wind, free and happy feeling. Beep beep!
Now onto my review! We received ‘Free Ridin’ Panda’ in size 2T for Little Jace. The shirt is 100% organic cotton and absolutely adorable! It features the ‘Scared Panda’ riding on a Vespa. I love the unique design and how soft the t-shirt is. All of Scared Panda’s shirts have unique designs and many feature the star “Panda”. I think any of the designs would make a unique and fantastic gift for holiday giving!
