Not only do they do tons of fun things at their meetings like play ball, sing, and crafts, but they also help the community. With a heavy rain underway, the community (along with the Cub Club) set out to help some of their neighbors that are getting flooded out by all the rains. It shows that no matter how small, you can always help someone in need.
Love Their Neighbors
The Bear family is very proud of their tree house. Everything is in order and always kept very clean. All the other neighbors are the same way, except for one set. The Bogg brothers house was almost falling down, they had junk all over their yard, and they even had a big pic that wallowed in the mud out back. This neighbor was not a neighbor that the Bear family enjoyed having. That was unti one day, they were heading to an event in town and the Bear family’s car broke down. All their other neighbors passed them by without helping. All claiming that they simply didn’t have the time to help out. Eventually, the Bogg family came down the road and without a second thought they immediately stopped and offered to help the Bear family. This story goes to show that no matter how rich or how poor, how neat and tidy or even how messy your neighbor is, you should always love and try to help them if you can.
The Biggest Brag
Like a lot of siblings, Brother and Sister Bear always want to one up each other. While trying to guess the different shapes in the clouds, they each wanted to outdo the other until Gramp’s Bear came along. He had a talk with the bears and explained to them how foolish it looked with them competing over who could find the best shapes in the clouds. After he talked to them, they then headed to his house for a game of checkers.
Gossip Gang
Gossip Gang starts off with the Bible verse: Proverbs 26:20. In this story, Sister Bear and her friends are talking about their other friends. At first she didn’t realize it was called “gossip” until Mother Bear told Father Bear that he shouldn’t tell rumors. After that, they explained to Sister Bear how gossip isn’t good and can hurt people. Sister experienced that first hand, and decided not to gossip anymore.
