The Nerd Journal & Periodic Thoughts Postcard

Everyone has at least one nerd in their life. And whether that beloved super-dweeb is heading off to summer camp this month, college this fall, or just into the outer orbit of his/her own special planet, they could really use some geek-fabulous stationery to keep in touch with themselves and the folks back home.

The Nerd Journal and the Periodic Thoughts Postcards are both pretty awesome, even my oldest son agreed!

NerdThe Nerd Journal isn’t just a journal.  Julie Huffman and Jenavieve Brown have peppered this 128-page, hardcover with some of the greatest science facts, jokes & more!

Examples of what you’ll find inside:

• Why can’t you trust atoms? They make up everything

• At room temperature, there are only two liquid elements.  These are bromine and mercury.

• The only letter in the English alphabet not used in the periodic table is J. The letter q only appears in the symbol for the placeholder name for element 114, ununquadium, which has the symbol Uuq.  When element 114 is officially discovered, it will be given a new name.

So think about your passions, obsessions, brainstorms, and inventions and write them down in the Nerd journal!

Periodic Thoughts Postcard

11821291_464733163701416_936332431_nThe Periodic Thoughts Postcard book is hands down my favorite.  Embued with scientific quotes and laws, each card is designed using different letters from the Perdiodic Table of Elements.

These smart 30 pull-out postcards are held together in perfect binding, so the cards are easy to tear out with no rough edges. Printed on sturdy, heavyweight paper, each card will stand up to the atomic weight of whatever you have to say.

If you are looking to add a touch of fun with back-to-school supplies, these are two items you need to check out…That is if you have a Science nerd in the house.  I am a fact junkie and I loved being able to read a fact or joke with each journal entry, and the Periodic Thoughts Postcard book is just awesome all the way around! Both of these items can be purchased on Amazon and other book retailers nationwide.
