As a child my parents would gather at their friends house and play card games for hours! One game that I always got to participate in was Uno and still to this day I love the game. I have it on my computer and we even have it on the 360. However, when it comes to playing card games around a 2 1/2 year old it can get rather messy (bending of cards) and is almost impossible. I mean he loves playing games as well as we do and doesn’t want to be left out of the mix. Uno Moo came to the rescue!
Uno Moo is from the wonderful folks of Mattel. We all know that they have what it takes when it comes to creating fantastic games and toys for our little ones. Uno Moo is a fun-filled game that we have played with our son numerous times. It took him no time at all to catch up, but I will admit that we have yet to finish a game. Although it is fast-paced, it isn’t fast enough for him. We generally get through about 1/2 of the game (about 5 minutes) before he is finished. I can literally time it to when he is ready go get up and move on to something else, but that is fine. He enjoys the game and I love him learning to take turns and just the concept of games in general. The only thing that I don’t particularly like about this game is that you have to open the barn to pick an animal and that allows you to see everything inside. My son knows what color he needs before he starts to draw an animal and goes directly to that color. It would be great if there were a way to pick the animal without being able to see them all.
How Uno Moo! is played:
Gotta get the critters back in the barn! Round ’em up by matching colors or animals. Is there a blue pig on the roof? Pair it with any blue animal or any color pig. Or use a farmer figure — he’s wild and matches anything. The first player to get all their figures back in the barn wins the game!
