With school already back in progress, I am always looking for things to help keep my two year old busy while teaching my six year old. I always have several learning activities readily available that we can easy transition between while my still being able to teach my oldest.
V-Tech Innotab 3
Recently we had the opportunity to review the V-Tech Innotab 3. This was the first V-Tech Innotab we have had and I have been very impressed so far! It’s very user-friendly and so far has been a wonderful device for both boys. The installation and set up took a little while. You do have to connect it to the Learning Lodge in order to unlock and access a lot of the games and apps. The boys grew impatient with me on that since I was in the middle of something when the Innotab 3 arrived. Needless to say, the boys were super excited once we finished the set up. I love that I can choose to attach the stylus to the device or just simply tuck it into the holder. The boys opted to not have me attach it so I am curious on how well they keep up with it.
The battery compartment is awesome. I love that I don’t have to use a butter knife or a screw driver in order to get into the back and change batteries. Being that devices like this can go through batteries pretty quick, I love the convenience of this. You just pull down a little button on the back that unlocks the covers. Which makes battery changes smooth.
It’s very easy to navigate and even I was able to do it without having to ask the boys to show me how 🙂 You think I’m joking, but I’m not. It’s amazing how quick they can figure out things like an Innotab and I have to ask them how it’s done. Not only is it easy to navigate but there are tons of games and apps that my boys are begging for. The apps are very affordable which really surprised me. Some of them start at only $2.99 which is AMAZING!! With a price this awesome, it has became a reward option if my six year old does well in school for the week. We have a chart and if all the days are marked off then he gets a small reward at the end of the week.
