Van’s has expanded its award-winning line of cereal

According to global market research firm Mintel, a growing number of consumers are looking for cereals that are gluten-free, include ancient grains such as millet, quinoa and amaranth, and/or are non-GMO.  At the same time, IRI, a leading provider of data and analytics to the industry, reports that sales of mainstream cereals have dipped, while better-for-you brands are growing.  This really comes as no surprise to me.  While my kids do get some of the what I call “junk” cereal from time to time, they overall prefer the cereals from Van’s.  I can’t really blame them either.

When all of us spoke, Van’s listened, and has expanded its award-winning line of whole-grain, gluten-free cereals will the addition of Blissfully Berry, with natural strawberry flavor, and cocoa Sensation, made with real cocoa.

Both new cereals are nutritious yet tasty enough for the whole family-gluten-free or not-with flavors that harken back to childhood favorites.  (Who says pink cereal can’t be better for you?) Van’s Blissfully Berry and Cocoa Sensation feature:

  • 17 grams of nutrient-dense whole grains, including ancient grains millet, quinoa, and amaranth
  • 5-6 grams of fiber
  • 110 calories per three-quarter cup serving
  • No artificial flavors or high fructose corn syrup
  • No dairy, egg or corn

The two new cereals join Van’s Honey Crunch and Cinnamon Heaven in the cereal line.  All Van’s cereal varieties carry the Whole Grains Stamp from The Whole Grains Council and are certified by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization.

Our family love Van’s products and the cereals are a major hit.  They aren’t kidding when they say the new flavors really bring back childhood memories.
