We are a homeschool family, but in no way does that mean we don’t celebrate Hats Off To Reading and Dr. Suess’s Birthday! Kicking off the week with celebrating his birthday, we will also have tons of activities going on. I also volunteer to read every year for a local classroom and I’m pretty excited that this year I can arrive dressed as the one…the only… Cat In The Hat!
Dr. Suess is one of my favorites and I have been dusting off all the books and movies that we have. This will be an amazing week of absolutely fun learning when it comes to our Language arts.
This year with the awesome new costume from Wholesale Costume Club, get get to add a little extra fun! Not only with Dr. Suess, but soon with the addition of Thing 1 & Thing 2! In celebration of Dr. Suess, check out the cute video below:
We were sent the Cat In The Hat costume we see me wearing above. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we ordered it, but have been pleasantly surprised. The jumpsuit makes you look like the titular cat, with jet black fun that only leaves holes for your head, hands and feet! On the cat’s belly isn’t a star like a Sneetch, but instead just a super soft white fur covering. It also includes the trademark red tie that sits at the top of the suit, and let’s not forget the trademark red and white striped stovepipe hat. The only thing that really needs to be added to this costume is the white gloves.
Wholesale Costume Club had several other Dr. Suess products and I found them to have unbeatable prices! The Cat In The Hat costume comes in two sizes and priced at only $42.96 (member price). In the above picture I am wearing the small/medium and I think it’s a perfect fit!
