My boys just watched the most amazing movie called, Zoey To The Max! For the first time in a long time, they couldn’t stop talking about it. My seven year old said it made him a little sad when the bad guys stole Zoey, but he still loved the movie!
Synopsis:
Zoey, a thirteen year old foster child, watches her foster family’s dog get stolen while she s in charge! The criminals, a pair of Home-Alone-like thugs, are after the mutt because he is a famous show dog. Zoey runs away from the desert on a cross-country adventure with her techy new friend in order to track down the dog and save the relationship with her foster family. Throughout the film, Zoey must dig-in and fight for the life she’s always wanted, undergoing sudden personal growth in the process.
Zoey to the Max is particularly dear to Cassidy’s heart as she spent her early years in the foster care system just like her character, Zoey. She started the non-profit foundation, Love Gives Chances, to inspire all children and adults who are currently living in, have been adopted from or have aged out of the Foster Care System and encourages them to not lose hope. For every supporter pendant purchased through the charity, Cassidy sends a survivor pendant to a foster yourh or former foster youth who needs to feel empowered.
Filled with excitement the whole family can enjoy, Amy Smart (The Butterfly Effect, “Justified”) and Grant Bowler (“Defiance”)headline the enduring feature, Zoey to the Max, arriving on DVD and Digital HD February 24 from Cinedigm with a SRP of $14.93.
