Dirt Pudding Cup With Gummy Worms

What better way to end a worm-filled week than by adding a dessert that they’ve never tried before.

The dirt pudding cups were easy to make and fun to eat.

It’s a recipe that you can change-up and be as creative as you want. I chose to use half-pint canning jar or jam jars instead of plastic cups since this wasn’t a dessert that I was taking out. Once it was all said and done, my six-year old suggested that it would be cool to use the vanilla Oreos instead of the chocolate so that it would match our observation jar. If we do this dessert again, that’s definitely what I’m going to do.

For this recipe you’ll need:

2 cups cold milk
1 package (4 oz) chocolate instant pudding
1 – 8 oz container whipped topping, thawed
Package of Oreos (vanilla or chocolate) crushed into crumbs
Gummy Worms
6-10 plastic cups or jars (8 oz)

Directions:

Pour the milk into the mixing bowl and adding the pudding mix.

Beat the pudding mix and milk mixture per pudding directions. (about 2 minutes)

Let the pudding rest for 5 minutes while preparing the Oreo cookies.

Once pudding has set, stir in the whipped topping.

Place 1 heaping tablespoon of crushed cookies into the bottom of each cup. Follow that by adding 2 heaping tablespoons of pudding. Alternate layers, ended with cookies.

Last, add two gummy worm cut in half on top of each cup.

Refrigerate until time to serve
