Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids Spanish

Sharing is caring!

I have been wanting to bring Spanish into our homeschool for a couple of years, but I wasn’t sure how well I would be able to teach the subject or if it would be worth the time.  Our family was recently presented with the opportunity to review  Starter Set 1 from Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids.  beginner-spanish-set2_zpsomki6k3q

The Starter Set that we received for our review includes the following:

• DVD with videos for Levels 1-3
• Three Parent-Teacher Guides
• Flashcards and Card Games for Levels 1 to 3
• Workbooks for Levels 1-3
• Stickers for Levels 1-3

What is Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids?

Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids was created by Kit Strauss after she was unable to find a solid foreign language program for her sons.  This program was created in a way that both kids and adults can learn with ease by combining immersion with visuals on topics that one comes across daily.

How does the program work

Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids is an easy-to-use foreign language program designed for ages 3-14.  Videos and Rapid Review Games are all that’s recommended as mandatory, but we have personally had wonderful success with using the entire program. The activities are phenomenal when it comes to giving more practice using the words.14087327_10210715566304453_731304352_o

The first video lesson “Basketballs Aren’t for Breakfast,” is viewed for a total of five minutes. This is where your child is introduced to Andy, Eli, and Parker. Upon completion of the video you’re encouraged to complete the activities. These are short tasks such as: completing workbook pages, playing games, using flashcards, or simply placing the included stickers around the house.

Our overall thoughts

I can’t say enough about this program. We incorporate this program into our homeschool three days a week as an elective.  At first I wasn’t sure if this program would work for our family, but I was completely wrong. They look forward to this program and  I’m amazed at how many words they are learning.
