Winter in North Carolina can be very interesting. One day we have snow on the ground, and the next its 70 degrees out and the windows are all open. While this is the type of weather we are used to, it’s also the type of the weather that ends with at least one of my kids coming down with a cold.
Preparing for Cold & Flu Season
Since I know this happens every year, I’m thankful that my medicine cabinet is well stocked with children’s cold medicines that have proven themselves to work fantastic with my kids.
When it comes to all the aches and pains they get while sick, along with reducing their fever, we always turn to Children’s Advil®, it’s a wonderful solution for kids ages 2 and up to 11.
Children’s Advil® comes in several great-tasting flavors including:
• Bubble Gum
• Grape
• Blue Raspberry
• Fruit
• Dye-Free White Grape
If you happen to have an infant between the ages of 6-23 months, there’s also the Infants’ Advil® White Grape, which provides unsurpassed fever relief (among OTC pain relievers) with a syringe for easy dosing.
This time of year, we always seem to get a terrible cough along with the fever. A cough at times can seem harder on the little ones than the fever itself. When that time happens, we turn to Children’s Robitussin® Extended-Release 12 Hour Cough to control and relieve symptoms all-day or all-night. The Children’s Robitussin® Extended-Release is available in grape or orange flavor and is recommended for ages 4 & up. Also, keep in mind that certain Children’s Robitussin® products are only suitable for children ages 6 and up.
Last but not least I want to mention Children’s Dimetapp® Multi-Symptom Cold Relief Dye-Free. This product is fantastic for easing all those stuffy and runny noses that appear this time of year, while also quieting a bothersome cough. All in a great-tasting grape flavor that’s dye-free, for children 6 & up.
