Valentine’s Day Made Easy for Your Manly Man with Man Crates

It is so hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that Valentine’s Day is a week away!  It’s funny how when the hubby and I started dating, Valentine’s Day took forever to arrive.  Perhaps that is because we were in a long distance relationship and didn’t see each other everyday.  Maybe it was because that day was typically tied to a trip to Kay Jewelers and a nice uninterrupted dinner.  Fast forward to 2014 and I am frantically trying to squeeze in a trip to Michael’s for crafting supplies to doll up goody bags for our daughters pre-school class.

In the midst of making cute and crafty gifts for my daughter to give, I often go brain dead with what to get Jason.  He doesn’t do candy, doesn’t need another tie and wears uniforms to work so more clothes is not necessary. I usually end up doing some kind of basket filled with foods he will eat and maybe a small gift certificate for lunch. However, I recently found an amazing company that helps take the guess work out of gift giving to men of all types.  Man Crates is a unique company that was founded by real men for real men.

Man Crate Manifesto:

We say ‘no’ to ugly neckties, cologne samplers and executive trinkets. We don’t save wrapping paper, we don’t do ribbons.

We ship bragworthy gifts for guys. Gifts that you can’t wait to arrive because you know the recipient will love opening them.

Gifts that people gather round at the office, people following the sounds of wood being torn from wood by the included, laser-engraved crowbar.

We are Man Crates, and we deliver awesome gifts for men.

Man Crates allows shoppers to shop by personality type such as carnivore, gamer or athlete or by keyword such as, zombie preparedness, college care packages and personalized gifts. Man crates come uniquely packaged in wooden crates complete with a crow bar for opening or in fun ammo cans built to NATO speculations. I personally think the crates are “cute” but that is not much of a manly word so instead I will go with, fun, bold and screaming for a real man to open!

Man Crates generously sent us the Slaughterhouse Crate to review.  I didn’t tell Jason about this review until it arrived on the porch so as you can imagine he was pleasently surprised.  Before he even opened the crate he kept commenting on how cool the crate itself was and it is now on display in our kitchen.  He pried the crate open using some of his manly muscles but all in all with ease. He was excited to see all the beef jerky being that I can’t keep him and the kids in beef jerky.  They eat it like there is no tomorrow.  The Slaughterhouse Crate retails for $74.99 and is packed with some of the finest foods such as:
  • 6 packs of the finest beef jerky
    •  Real Steak
    • Crave
    • Jeff’s Famous Jerky
    • Carnivore Candy
    • Country Archer
  • High energy snacks
    •  Corn nuts
    • Trail mix
    • Cliff Bar
    • Pemmican Meal Bar

Jason loved that each beef jerky had a distinct flavor.  Some were very spicy which was right up his ally while others were very mild and suitable for sharing with the kids.  He also liked that the crate included other snacks that he has been taking to work.  Most importantly, I think he enjoyed getting a gift that he didn’t have to weirdly beat around wrapping paper and bows and pretend to like.  I personally like that we can salvage the ‘wrapping’.  Who knows, maybe I will make a flower display with it come summer. Only joking of course!

Man Crates are ideal for all holidays, special occasions and just because.  Whether you have the NFL fan, grill master, golfer or hot sauce connoisseur in your life, I highly recommend giving men what they really want via Man Crates!
